LA CROSSE — The Onalaska Luther High School boys golf team used a runner-up finish from freshman Robert Bruns for a second-place finish in a Coulee Conference meet at Fox Hollow Golf Course on Tuesday.
Bruns shot a 6-over-par 41 to tie three other golfers and help the Knights to a score of 176. That performance was only beaten by G-E-T’s 173 and Bruns’ round was only beaten by G-E-T senior Nic Jumper’s 39.
Arcadia finished fifth at 181 and West Salem sixth at 189.
The Raiders were led by freshmen Landon Jaszewski and Owen Anderson with rounds of 44, and the Panthers by junior Coen Knutson and his 45. Junior Landon Michlig added a 36 for West Salem.
Luther also received rounds of 44 from senior Synclair Byus and 45 from senior Ian Bass. Seniors Logan Sherry and Will Huelskamp both shots 46s.
