ONALASKA — The Onalaska High School boys golf team won the first MVC meet of the season by finishing 20 shots ahead of second-place Aquinas at the Coulee Golf Bowl on Thursday.

The Hilltoppers shot a 312 and were led by medalist Rylan Tomashek’s round of 78. He finished one shot ahead of second-place Cale Halaska of Holmen and Onalaska teammate Chasen Witt.

Aquinas, which shots a 332, was led by Matt Rabindra’s 80 after he chipped in to close out his round. Teammates James Siegert and Jack Vogel added anb 82 and 83, respectively, for the Blugolds.

Holmen placed third with a team score of 334, and the Central/Logan co-op program placed fifth at 341.
