WEST SALEM — The Onalaska High School ASL floor hockey team scored early and often on the way to an 8-1 victory over West Salem on Thursday.
Connor Wirth scored five goals and Paul Yang two for the Hilltoppers, who also received one goal from Michael Demara. Colin McCaffrey turned in a solid game in net for Onalaska by allowing just one goal.
The young Panthers celebrated Lavender Ebert on senior night, then played a game without many players due to illness. Lexi Randall scored West Salem’s goal, and Levi Wulf had 45 saves in net.
Ellie Schwartz helped the Hilltoppers both offensively and defensively and was consistently able to clear the puck from her defensive zone.
