RUSHFORD — The Caledonia High School girls basketball team, ranked fifth in Class AA by Minnesota Basketball News, won its second game in a row with a 70-29 victory over Rushford-Peterson on Friday.
The Warriors (20-3) were led by senior Aubrie Klug, who scored 27 points. Senior Josie Foster added 13 for Caledonia, which has bounced back from a 64-60 loss at Goodhue with victories of 80-37 over Maple River and this 41-point victory over the Trojans.
Kenzie King and Jessica Stendel scored seven points apiece for the Warriors, who have three regular-season games remaining and next host La Crescent-Hokah on Tuesday.
Holmen 50, Logan 28
HOLMEN — The Vikings (8-10, 5-3), held their grip on third place in the MVC with a big second half against the Rangers (4-16, 2-8) at the Bernie L. Ferry Fieldhouse.
Holmen pulled away from a three-point halftime lead to complete a regular-season sweep of Logan by scoring the first 14 points of the second half. That gave it a 34-17 lead with 9:45 left.
Senior Danika Rebhahn led the Vikings with 12 points on four 3-pointers. Junior Macy Kline had eight points, five steals and four assists, and junior Charley Casey recorded eight points and six rebounds for Holmen.
Lydia Mason scored a team-high 13 points for the Rangers.
Onalaska 50, Tomah 27
ONALASKA — Freshman Kayla Ketelhut scored nine of her team-high 13 points in the first half and made one 3-pointer as the Hilltoppers took a 30-18 halftime lead.
Sophomore Lauren Pica added 10 points and sophomore Finley Walters nine on three 3-pointers for fourth-place Onalaska (10-10, 5-4).
