ONALASKA — The Aquinas/Holmen/G-E-T boys hockey team took an early lead but surrendered three goals in the second period on the way to a 5-3 loss to Hartland Arrowhead at the OmniCenter on Saturday.
The Avalanche (7-7) lost their second game in three days by allowing four straight goals after completing the first period with a 2-0 lead.
James Siegert and Jack Barth scored to give the Avalanche the 2-0 lead. Siegert’s was on a power play and was assisted by Brant Hundt and Casey Keane. Barth’s goal came eight minutes after Siegert’s and was assisted by Hunter Downing.
The Warhawks (10-3) scored all three second-period goals and the first goal of the fourth for a 4-2 lead before Brody Slusser converted on a power play with help from Keane and Siegert at the 11:32 mark. It stayed that way until Arrowhead put the puck in an empty net at 16:58.
Barth’s goal was his team-high ninth of the season, and Slusser remained on Barth’s heels with his eighth. Keane pushed his team high in assists to eight.

WEST SALEM — The Cyclones (3-9-1) were beaten at the Panther Den and suffered their fourth consecutive loss.
The shots were even with each team recording 51. Coulee Region’s Diana Hanson turned back 49 of those.
