HARMONY — The Caledonia High School boys basketball team bounced back from a loss to Onalaska to make a run at the century mark against Fillmore Central on Friday.
The Warriors returned to the court 24 hours after a 10-point loss to the Hilltoppers and beat the Falcons 93-48 behind a 20-point performance from senior Mason King, who made four of Caledonia’s nine 3-pointers.
Senior Garrett Konz added three 3-pointers and 17 points for the Warriors (3-1), who were up by 34 points by the end of the first half. Reid Klug also scored 15 points, Colby Hammell 11 and Aaron Stemper 10 for Caledonia.
Bangor 61, Brookwood 55
ONTARIO — The Cardinals (2-3, 2-0) won their second game in a row and had three double-figure scorers led by Brody Edwards and his 16 points. Edwards made one 3-pointer in each half and scored nine points after halftime.
Senior Eli Tucker also made a pair of 3s and added 14 points for Bangor, which trailed 30-26 at halftime. Junior Hayden Massman also scored 11 for the Cardinals.
The Falcons (1-3, 1-1) were outscored by 10 points in the second half and led by sophomore Brennen Mack’s 15 points on five 3-pointers. Braeden Pasch added 13.
Cashton 45, Necedah 40
NECEDAH — The Eagles (1-4, 1-1) picked up their first win of the season by scoring seven of the final nine points after the Cardinals (0-3, 0-2) tied the game at 38 with two minutes left.
Junior Trent Kast scored 21 points for Cashton, which also received 10 from junior Drew Butzler. Philip Heintz scored 10 points to lead Necedah in its home opener.
De Soto 67, Wauzeka-Steuben 27
DE SOTO — The Pirates (3-2, 2-1) won their home opener by making 12 3-pointers.
Finn Wrobel made four of those 3s and led De Soto with 16 points. Senior Harris Krueger added 14 points, and sophomore Oscar Zink made four 3-pointers for 12 points.
Royall 66, New Lisbon 22
ELROY — The Panthers (4-0, 2-0) held their opponent to less than 30 points for the second straight time and their third opponent to less than 40 points.
Senior Landon Lipke scored 11 of his team-high 18 points in the first half for Royall, which also received 14 from senior Trey Wildes.
Hillsboro 69, Wonewoc-Center 20
WONEWOC — The Tigers (4-0, 2-0) ran away with their fourth straight victory behind 19 points from junior Miles Ravenscroft.
Senior Jerry Von Falkenstein added 11 points and senior Zack Morren 10 for Hillsboro, which is tied with Bangor and Royall for first place in the Scenic Bluffs Conference.
