Monday girls basketball report: Prairie du Chien wins second straight game

NEW LISBON — The New Lisbon High School girls basketball team used a strong second half to pick up its first victory of the season on Monday.

The Rockets (1-2) broke away from a tied game at halftime by stepping up their defensive pressure and creating turnovers on the way to a 53-40 victory over visiting La Farge.

New Lisbon was led by senior Arria Raese and sophomore Olivia Bunker’s 14 points each in a game that was tied at 22 after one half. Bunker scored 12 of her points in the second half, and teammate Allie Hare matched her two 3-pointers and scored 10 points for the Rockets.

Prairie du Chien 51, Mount Horeb 22

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN — Senior Tannah Radloff and sophomore Karly Kramer each scored 12 points for the Blackhawks (2-0).

Radloff made two 3-pointers and scored 10 of her points in the first half as Prairie du Chien opened up a 31-14 halftime lead. Kramer made one 3-pointer and scored eight of her points before halftime.

Kickapoo 60, Cashton 45

VIOLA — The Panthers (1-2) picked up their first win by becoming the first team to beat the Eagles (2-1).

Kennedy Brown made a pair of 3-pointers and scored a team-high 13 points for Cashton, which also received 11 from Taylor Lindley-Schendel and nine from Sarah Schroeder.

Jadence Nagel scored a game-high 16 points with two 3-pointers for Kickapoo.
