Friday hockey: West Salem breaks loose for dominant second victory of season

WEST SALEM — The West Salem/Bangor co-op boys hockey team picked up its second victory of the season on Friday with a 9-2 win over the South Central Navigators at the Panther Den.

West Salem (2-15-1) scored three times in each period to beat a Madison-area team based in DeForest.

Senior Terryn Boland scored three goals and assisted on three others for the Panthers and has 15 goals and 14 assists this season. Boland scored the first two goals for West Salem and finished with the final goal of the game.

Senior Cade Donahue scored two goals, and senior Coen Knutson finished with one goal and three assists for the Panthers.

Sophomore Berkley Brose had one goal and two assists and junior Braydon Baures one goal and one assist. Nehemiah Schmitz, Kaydon Tauscher and Henry Bakkum also assisted on goals for West Salem.
