DEFOREST — The Central High School volleyball team won one match and lost three during the DeForest Invitational on Saturday.
The RiverHawks (8-5) recorded a 25-16, 25-18 victory over Stoughton and pushed three other opponents to three sets.
Lakeside Lutheran beat Central 25-14, 20-25, 17-15, Watertown Luther Prep beat it 25-13, 21-25, 15-7. Central also pushed St. Ambrose to three sets before a 21-25, 25-20, 15-13 loss.
Senior McKenna Michaels had a team-high 30 kills, and senior Ellie Gillitzer had 17 kills and 51 assists on the way to recording the 1,000th assist of her career. Senior Addie Sazama-Nauman also had 31 assists.
Middleton Invitational
MIDDLETON — Aquinas (5-9) won one match and lost three.
The Blugolds beat Brookfield Central 25-11, 25-13 and lost a 26-24, 26-24 match to Madison East, a 22-25, 25-17, 15-5 match to Oshkosh West.
Richland Center Invitational
RICHLAND CENTER — Luther (4-2) played four matches and split them evenly.
The Knights recorded two-set sweeps against Lancaster and Hillsboro and were beaten by Fennimore and Cuba City.
