LA CROSSE — The Holmen co-op girls swim team won seven of 11 events to beat the La Crosse co-op 118-50 at UW-La Crosse on Monday.
The winning team, which has swimmers from Holmen, Onalaska, Aquinas and G-E-T, had Holmen sophomore Onnalee Wolff, G-E-T senior Josie Rupple and Onalaska junior Elin Gilles provide winning points in three events each.
Wolff won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 2.8 seconds and swam with the first-place 200 freestyle relay (1:50.91) and 400 freestyle relay (4:06.5).
Rupple won the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.78, swam with the 200 freestyle relay and helped the 200 medley relay win in 2:01.91.
Gilles was part of the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays and added a victory in the 100 butterfly (1:01.94).
Holmen sophomore Laney Brandl was on the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay, and Aquinas junior Lydia Hale was on the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. Holmen freshman Addie Renkas won the 500 freestyle (5:58.15), and Aquinas junior Elise Myre and Onalaska junior Zeena Ott were part of the 400 freestyle relay.
Logan senior Annika Vianden won the 50 freestyle (26.69) and 100 freestyle (1:01.78), and teammate Lilyana Wolf — a West Salem sophomore — won the 200 individual medley (2:19.81) and 100 backstroke (1:05.16).
