LA CROSSE — The Aquinas High School boys soccer team held an overwhelming advantage in shots on goal while beating Nekoosa 5-0 at Fields for Kids on Thursday.
The Blugolds (2-0) received a hat trick from senior Connor Benz, and Jonathan Woolever scored once for a team that outscored its opponents 10-1 this week. Aquinas also scored on an own goal against the Papermakers, who were outshot 18-1.
Senior Cameron Reinhart saved the only shot Nekoosa was able to put on goal.
Central 2, Platteville/Lancaster 1
LA CROSSE — The RiverHawks (2-0) scored twice in the second half to come back from a 1-0 halftime deficit to the Hillmen at Fields for Kids.
Senior Will Schilling and senior Alex Heiderscheit each scored for Central, while senior Gander Conrad and junior Leighvy Lee each assisted on one of them.

PRAIRIE DU SAC — The Eagles scored three goals in the second half to pull away from a 1-0
halftime advantage.
The Hilltoppers (0-1) received four saves from Xander Wuensch in the first half and three from Ben Zivney in the second.
Winona 7, La Crescent-Hokah 1
WINONA — The Lancers allowed three goals in the first half and four in the second at Paul Giel Field.
Junior Lucas Rytilahti scored unassisted in the second half to help the Lancers (0-1) avoid the shutout.

STEWARTVILLE — The Warriors (1-0) scored three times in the first half and twice in the second to begin their season with a victory.
Jordan King scored all of Caledonia’s goals in the first half and its first of the second half to give it a 4-2 lead in the 42nd minutes.
Kya Deck gave the Warriors a victory with her goal that came on an assist from Lillian Thies in the 59th minute to break a 4-4 tie.
Emmie Baumann, Kenra Tewes and Leah Privet also had one assist each for Caledonia.
