MARSHFIELD — The Holmen High School gymnastics team placed second at the Marshfield Invitational on Saturday.
The Vikings finished with a team score of 132.25, which was only beaten by the host Tigers (136.875) in an eight-team competition.
Ava Amundson was fifth all-around with a 32.9 and Molly McBride eighth with a 32.5 for Holmen. Amundson won the floor exercise with a score of 9.05.
Holmen teammates Faith Genz and Carly Nelson had second-place individual finishes. Genz was second on the balance beam with a 9.1, and Nelson was runner-up on the uneven bars with an 8.75.
Macelyn Favre was also sixth on the beam (8.35) and McBride sixth on the bars (7.9) and seventh on the floor (8.625).

KASSON — Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston placed fourth with a 132.025.
Harper Myrah was eighth (33.65) and Vivian Kittleson ninth (33.525) all-around for the Warriors.
Kittleson had the best individual performance with a third-place finish on the floor exercise (8.65), and Myrah was sixth (8.15) and Kittleson seventh (8.1) on the uneven bars.
