GALESVILLE — The West Salem co-op gymnastics team won a Coulee Conference meet hosted by G-E-T’s co-op with a score of 140.575 on Friday.
The Panthers, who also have competitors from Aquinas and Bangor on the roster, finished comfortably ahead of second-place G-E-T (134.925) and the Westby/Viroqua co-op (122.925).
West Salem’s Grace Olson placed third among those competing all-around with a score of 34.275, and teammate Brielle Moore was fifth at 33.65.
Senior Camdyn Lyga won both the floor exercise (9.5) and balance beam (9.25) for West Salem, which also had Olivia Maki win the vault (9.3) and place second to Lyga on the floor exercise (9.25). Lyga was also third on the vault (9.1) and Olson fifth on the vault (8.9).
The Panthers had four of the top five performers on the uneven bars with Hayden Rohde leading the way in second place (8.15). Moore and Anya Tenner tied for third (8.05), and Brenna Gottbeheat was fifth (7.875).
Candace Drury was also third (9.025) and Olson fifth (8.65) on the balance beam and Olson third on the floor exercise (9.225).
