TOMAH — The Aquinas High School girls basketball took care of many accomplishments at once during a 90-38 MVC victory at Tomah on Friday.
The Blugolds both ran their conference winning streak to 124 games and clinched at least a share of their 12th MVC championship in a row.
Senior Sammy Davis also reached an impressive milestone by scoring 26 points and pushing her career scoring total to 2,024 as Aquinas — ranked fourth in Division 3 by the Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports media poll — won its seventh straight game to improve to 19-2 overall and 10-0 in the MVC.
Davis made 12 of 13 shots — only missing a 3-point attempt — and had three steals in the Blugolds’ latest victory.
Junior Gabriella Stratman made four 3-pointers and added 16 points for Aquinas, which also received an 11-point performance from junior Liv Dickinson.
Aquinas led 66-22 after one half with Davis scoring 20 of her points and Stratman 15 of hers during that stretch. Dickinson also had nine points in the first half.
Junior Adi Bezemek led the team with seven rebounds, and junior Ava Fernholz had 10 assists and five steals to go with seven points.
