Three local high schools will have representation at this weekend’s Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Pom state competition at the La Crosse Center.
Onalaska and Aquinas both qualified pom and jazz routines, and Holmen is entered in the pom and hip hop competitions. Pom will perform on Friday with Aquinas in Division 6, Onalaska in Division 3 and Holmen in Division 2.
West Salem also qualified in Pom and will join Onalaska in Division 3.
Jazz and hip hop will be contested on Saturday with Aquinas in Division 3, Onalaska in Division 1 and Holmen in Division 1.
Onalaska will be represented by Kaelin Tomashek, Danielle Schmit, Zoe Moeller, Katelyn Bakkestuen, Ella Ballmer, Makena Fecht, Abigail Schaller, Cailyn Holter, Emily Runyan, Ella Fejfar, Anna Pierzina, Cecilia Olson, Katelynn MaKane, Mindy Kao, Ava Matti and Evy Milner.
The Blugolds will be represented by Adelyn Neubauer, Aly Small, Ava Robinson, Brooklyn Fruechte, Charlie Wert, Charlotte Wolf, Emelia Bassuener, Katherine Dahl, Katie Veglahn, Lauren Dahl, Lily Fukuda and Stella Vogel.
Holmen will be represented by Alyxann Weiss, Brennan Lawrence, Coreyna De Ruyter, Ellie Helgeson, Gabi Bartels, Gwyn Bowe, Lilah Dewey, Lucy Lichtie, Morgan Haas, Olivia Matt, Paige Barth, Qunicy Dawson, Riley Every, Violet Chase and Irelyn Eberhardt.
Onalaska’s Tomashek and Schmit, Holmen’s Haas, Aquinas’ Small and West Salem’s Cailyn Skrede have also qualified as soloists.
