ONALASKA — The Holmen High School gymnastics team used a score of 133.75 to win an MVC meet hosted by Onalaska on Monday.
The Vikings had three of the top six all-arounders and were led by Carly Nelson’s third-place finish and score of 34.025. Molly McBride was fifth at 33.825 and Ava Amundson sixth at 33.275.
Holmen had two of the top three finishers and four of the top six on the floor exercise. Amundson was second (9.3), Nelson third (9.2), McBride fifth (9.05) and Macelyn Favre sixth (8.9).
Amundson also tied for third place on the vault (8.3), and McBride was fourth on the balance beam (8.525).
Onalaska’s co-op placed third with a 132.0 and the Logan/Central co-op fourth at 121.325.
Sparta’s Gabrielle Bjorkman was the top performer all-around with a 37.275. Teammate Ali Solberg followed with a 34.15.
The Hilltoppers were led by Olivia Peterson’s seventh-place all-around score of 32.025. Allison Komperud placed third on the uneven bars (8.75) and balance beam (8.825), and Avery Berg was part of a three-way tie for third on the vault (8.3).
Elena Wagner was second on the balance beam (8.95), fourth on the floor exercise (9.125) and fourth all-around with a 34.025.
