WINONA — The Holmen High School gymnastics team placed third at the four-team Winona Invitational on Saturday.
The Vikings finished with a team score of 130.45 in a meet won by the Winhawks (140.2). Caledonia’s co-op was fourth with a 127.4.
Holmen was led in the all-around by fourth-place Ava Amundson and her score of 33.8. Tenth-place Harper Myrah led Caledonia with a 32.3.
Amundson was fourth on the floor exercise (9.1) and balance beam (8.4). She was also sixth on the vault (8.6). Teammates Taylor Napiecek and Molly McBride were also sixth (8.3) and eighth (8.1) on the balance beam, respectively.
Myrah tied for sixth place on the uneven bars (8.05), and Caledonia’s Ayla Lange and Tyla Halverson tied for seventh place on the vault (8.4).
