WESTBY — The Logan/Central co-op gymnastics team placed third in the eight-team Tami Effinger Invitational hosted at Westby High School on Friday.
Onalaska’s co-op finished seventh in a meet won by the GE-T co-op and its score of 133.075.
Logan/Central finished with a 125.2 and Onalaska with a 90.975.
Senior Elena Wagner led Logan/Central with a fifth-place finish and all-around score of 33.35. Teammate Lauren Domroese was 10th with a 31.8, and Onalaska was led by Allison Komperud’s 11th-place all-around score of 31.75.
The best event for local teams was the uneven bars, where Danika Parnell was third (8.9) for Logan/Central. Wagner was also fifth (8.5), Komperud seventh (8.35) and Domroese tied for eighth (8.05).
Wagner was also fifth on the vault (8.4) by edging Onalaska’s sixth-place Avery Berg (8.375).
Wagner was also seventh in the floor exercise (8.45) and Komperud ninth as the best local performer on the balance beam (8.125).
