WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Holmen High School boys basketball team put together a strong second half to beat Wisconsin Rapids 69-59 in a road nonconference game on Monday.
The Vikings (2-1) bounced back from a loss to G-E-T and tough second half to the Red Raiders and dominated the second half.
Holmen outscored Wisconsin Rapids by 19 points after halftime to erase a nine-point deficit after one half.
Senior Colin Williams scored 12 points and had a team-high 12 rebounds for the Vikings, who had three double-figure scorers led by senior Alex Berget’s 13 points. Williams made 5 of 6 shots and pulled down eight of his rebounds on the offensive side.
Junior Jayden Bartels also scored 12 points and made two of Holmen’s seven 3-pointers. Bartels grabbed six rebounds, and Berget had four assists.
