WIAA boys soccer: Arcadia wins Division 4 sectional title with 4th straight shutout

ARCADIA — The Arcadia High School boys soccer team will represent the Coulee Region at the WIAA state tournament for a third time next week.

The Raiders, who finished the season ranked seventh in Division 4 by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association, won a sectional championship on Saturday with a 5-0 victory over third-seeded Three Lakes/Phelps.

Arcadia takes a 21-2-4 record to the Southeast Sales Powersports Stadium at Uihlein Soccer Park, in Milwaukee next week. The tournament begins on Thursday and concludes on Saturday.

The Raiders will get one of four seeds and play a semifinal game at either 4:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The Division 4 championship game will be played at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Arcadia, which has won four games in a row — all by shutout — and was MVC runner-up to Holmen this season, won its previous sectional championships in 2020 and 2021. The Raiders have allowed 24 goals this season.
