WEST SALEM — The West Salem High School girls soccer team will get a chance to play for a WIAA Division 3 regional championship on Saturday.
The top-seeded Panthers (13-3-1) will host fourth-seeded Osceola in that title game after beating ninth-seeded and visiting Spooner/Shell Lake 9-0 on Thursday.
West Salem has played in the regional finals every year since 2014 and are trying to advance to the sectional semifinal round for the second year in a row.
Junior Emily Graham scored three goals for the Panthers, who also received two from junior Addie Jehn. Jehn scored her first varsity goal in the first half and added another in the second.
Sophomore Kennedy Everson converted a penalty kick for her first varsity goal, and senior Emma Harm scored her first varsity goal. Junior Maya Hoff also scored for the Panthers.
Hoff and senior Sam Niemeier each had an assist for West Salem.
