LA CROSSE — The Central High School girls soccer team scored twice in the first half and once in the second to hand Logan/Onalaska Luther a 3-0 defeat in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal at Swanson Field on Wednesday.
The RiverHawks (11-4-2), who are seeded first in the grouping and ranked ninth by state coaches, dropped the Rangers season-ending record to 6-13-1.
Senior Aya Klein-Borgert, senior Kaitie Biondo and junior Grace Wilkerson scored for Central, which advanced to a regional final against fourth-seeded Reedsburg on Saturday.
Wilkerson also assisted on the two first-half goals and scored hers with an assist from Mae Yang in the 69th minute. Klein-Borgert’s goal started the scoring in the sixth minute.
Senior Laura Lapp had four saves for the RiverHawks and senior Alexia Vang 11 for the Rangers.
