ROCHESTER — The Caledonia High School softball team kept its season alive with a 10-0 victory over La Crescent-Hokah in a six-inning MSHSL Section 1AA elimination game at the Rochester Youth Fastpitch Softball Complex on Saturday.
The fourth-seeded Warriors (19-5) split two games with the Lancers during the regular season and pulled away from a close game with six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as freshman pitcher Avery Augedahl held La Crescent-Hokah to one hit.
Augedahl, who struck out 11 without a walk, yielded a single with one out in the second inning and nothing after that. She struck out the side in the fifth.
Center fielder Ashlyn Reinhart was 2 for 3 with a double, a triple and two RBIs for Caledonia, which plays again Tuesday against eighth-seeded Winona Cotter for the right to continue in the tournament. The Warriors beat the Ramblers 4-1 during the regular season.
Shortstop Lily Wiebke and third baseman Paizley Lange were also 2 for 3 and Wiebke doubled for the Warriors. Left fielder Lily Augedahl led Caledonia with three RBIs when her double plated three runs in the sixth.
