RUSHFORD — The Logan High School boys track and field team won a championship at the Rushford-Peterson Invitational held at the Ben Niggle Sports Complex on Friday.
The Rangers compiled 167 points to finish comfortably ahead of second-place Winona Cotter/Hope Lutheran (152.5) and third-place Rushford-Peterson/Houston (114). Caledonia/Spring Grove tied for fourth (73).
Logan’s girls tied for fourth (87) in a nine-team meet won by Rushford-Peterson/Houston (142.5). Caledonia/Spring Grove’s girls placed seventh (39.5).
Logan’s boys were led by a pair of victories from Gabe Driscoll, who crossed the finish line first in the 800-meter run (2 minutes, 3.25 seconds) and had the biggest performance in the triple jump (40 feet, 10 inches).
Jacob Hackbarth added a win in the 300 hurdles (42.38), and Briggs Schaeffer won the pole vault (12-6). Schaeffer was also second in the 300 hurdles (45.05).
The Rangers received additional runner-up finishes from Chenue Thao (110 hurdles, 17.45), Camden Daykin (pole vault, 10-6), James Freund (long jump, 20-0.75), Jameson Degenhardt (triple jump (38-10) and Christian Parcher (shot put, 45-8.5).
The Caledonia/Houston boys were led by Fischer Wait’s wins in the 400 (50.3) and 200 (22.71). Ethan Stendel also won the 110 hurdles in 16.2 and the high jump at 6-0, and Eli Staggemeyer was second in the 100 (12.13).
Logan’s girls received individual victories from Marly Stevermer in the 300 hurdles (51.5) and Olivia Sake in the shot put (33-7).
Logan’s Lilly Dettwiler was second in the 200 (26.98), triple jump (35-7) and long jump (16-5.5), and Caledonia/Houston’s 800 relay team of Chloe Lange, Kamrin Thies, Sienna Augedahl and Nicole Banse won in 1:50.41).
Logan’s Natalie Pedretti also finished second in the 300 hurdles (52.37).

GALESVILLE — Holmen’s girls and boys swept the team titles with 115 and 86.5 points, respectively.
Holmen’s boys were led by victorious performances from Rylan Eickhoff (100, 11.2), Matthew Hoff (800, 2:02.63), Jakai Ayed (300 hurdles, 41.38) and Kyle Dryer (discus, 135.6).
Ted Teske was a triple winner for Arcadia after recording victories in the 200 (23.03), high jump (6-0) and long jump (21-5.75). Teammate Andy Monroy added a win in the 1,600 (4:57.72).
West Salem’s Luke Baginski (triple jump, 39-8) and Elliot Wolf (shot put, 46-6) also posted individual victories.
Holmen won titles in seven individual events and had the top five performers in the high jump.
Alexa Szak was the high jump champ , Sabrina Lechnir won the 800 (2:27.9), and Claire Stevenson ran a winning 52.55 in the 300 hurdles.
Kendall Kozlowski won the pole vault (9-9), Aubrey Hauser the long jump (15-2.5), Bela Waters the pole vault (31-4.26) and Brenna Schmidt the shot put (31-4.25).
Arcadia’s Jaylie Dahl won the 100 (12.98) and 200 (27.46) and West Salem’s Madison Kaiser the discus (99-6).
