STEVENS POINT — The Central High School girls soccer team started its season by scoring three goals in the first half of what turned out to be a 4-0 nonconference victory over Stevens Point on Saturday.
The RiverHawks scored three times in the first 19 minutes to take control and win the first game of the season for a fourth consecutive year.
Junior Grace Wilkerson assisted on a goal for Avery Bosshard in the ninth minute before scoring unassisted in the 11th and with an assist from Bosshard in the 19th.
She added an unassisted goal in the 58th minute, and Laura Lapp secured the shutout by stopping all three shots directed her way.

MENOMONIE — The Hilltoppers (2-1) used three three-run innings to build enough of a lead to hold on in the second game against the Mustangs.
Pitcher Sydney Kraus was 3 for 4 with a double, scored three runs and had team-high three runs driven in during the victorious performance. Center fielder Jenna Gansen was also 3 for 4 with three singles and a stolen base and drove in two runs during Onalaska’s 12-hit performance.
Shortstop Qita Olson reach safely four times with a single and three walks and scored three runs. Right fielder MJ Heit, who was 2 for 4 with a double, also scored three times. Heit, Lauren Pica and Zoe Koonce-O’Kane all drove in one run.
Kraus hit a home run in the first game and struck out nine batters while walking two and allowing two earned runs. Olson and Pica doubled.
GIRLS TENNIS
Reedsburg 5, Logan 2
LA CROSSE — Three matches went to a third set, and Logan’s No. 1 doubles team of Cael Novak and Sam Bleidorn on one of those.
Freshman Mitchell Jarrett also won in straight sets at No. 4 singles.
