Central High School junior Alahnna Simpson turned a milestone performance into another victory for the RiverHawks on Friday.
Simpson scored 21 points to reach the 1,000-point mark for her career, and that led the way in Central’s 50-37 nonconference victory over Sauk Prairie at the Mark Sutton Memorial Gymnasium.
Simnpson was three points shy of 1,000 when the game tipped off, and she sits at 1,017 career points heading into Saturday’s 11 a.m. home game against Reedsburg. The victory is Central’s second in a row and fourth in the past five games.
Senior Kaitie Biondo, who missed her junior season due an ACL injury sustained during soccer season, sparked the RiverHawks off the bench and added a career-high 11 for the RiverHawks.

BANGOR — The Cardinals (8-2) won their fourth game in a row and will play on Saturday’s 1:30 p.m. championship game.
Bangor took a 31-20 halftime lead as senior Aubrey Langrehr scored nine of her 14 points and made one of her team’s nine 3-pointers.
Junior Kennedy Hamilton made four of those 3s — three in the second half — and led the Cardinals with 16 points. Senior Anna Fronk made two of them and scored 10 points for Bangor.

WESTBY — Kickapoo (8-3) won behind a 21-point performance from Gwenne Fredrickson and pushed their winning streak to seven games.
Layla Marty scored nine points to lead Royall (3-6).

WESTBY — The Norsemen (2-6) snapped a five-game losing streak by taking care of the Hornets in extra playing time.

WESTBY — The Norsemen lost their fifth game in a row but were led by junior Katelyn Benish, who scored a game-high 21 points.
The Panthers (8-3) pushed their win streak to seven games and were topped by Jadence Nagel’s 19 points and Gwenne Fredrickson’s 15.

WESTBY — Bria Gruen scored 18 points for the victorious Panthers.

FALL CREEK — The Raiders (6-4) were led by sophomore Tatum Drazkowski’s 13 points in a loss to the Crickets.
Joselyn Lockington and Kaitlyn Bremer each added six points — Bremer’s on two 3s — for Arcadia.
