Boys basketball report: Caledonia tops Rushford-Peterson to start season

RUSHFORD — The Caledonia High School boys basketball team took a 12-point halftime lead and turned it into a 77-58 Three Rivers Conference victory over Rushford-Peterson on Friday.

Seniors Mason King, Reid Klug and Garrett Konz all scored in double figures for the Warriors. King led the way with 21 points, while Klug added 19 and Konz 15.

G-E-T 84, Bangor 42

GALESVILLE — The Red Hawks (2-0) picked up their second win in four days and scored 55 points in the first half to beat the Cardinals (0-2).

Junior Travis Theisen scored a game-high 21 points for G-E-T, which had a 55-28 halftime lead. Senior Jackson Burns added 16 and junior Mason Brone 10. Broen has 54 points after two games.
Lyle Seiling also had nine points and Brecken Ebersold eight or the Red Hawks.

Junior Brody Edwards scored 11 points and sophomore Alex Felch nine for Bangor.

Reedsburg 71, Tomah 63

TOMAH — Sophomore Quinn Gerke scored 10 of his team-high 17 points in the second half for the Timberwolves (1-1). He made one first-half 3-pointer.

Junior Miachael Zastoupil added 14 points for Tomah, which had to battle back from a 34-24 halftime deficit.

De Soto 48, Weston 32

CAZENOVIA — The Pirates (2-0, 1-0) used a 10-point scoring advantage in the second half to pull away from a six-point lead.

Sophomore Adam Venner scored a team-high 14 points, and junior Jackson Trussoni added eight.

Whitehall 49, Mondovi 44

WHITEHALL — The Norse (2-1, 1-1) were led by senior Caydan Johnston’s 16 points in a win over the Buffalos.
